WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
After a decade living in the United States, i realized how much the Reo Tahiti was not practiced in the ʻOri Tahiti Community. Other languages like Hawaiian or Samoan would be used in ʻOri Tahiti Class or in Polynesian dance events. The majority has poor knowledge of the Reo Tahiti and it is because it was never really taught.
I pulled up my sleeves and decided to create a guide to help and share as much as i can the Reo Tahiti.
I believe, it is important to use the Tahitian language during an ʻOri Tahiti Class and not mix with other languages as a sign of respect to its native language.
I believe, it is important to have a solid understanding of the Reo Tahiti to become a great dancer.
I believe a great dancer need to at least have a basic understanding of the lyrics of a Tahitian song and not just dance to the music and choreography.
I believe practicing the Reo Tahiti is just as important as practicing the ʻOri Tahiti.
The Tahitian language and the Tahitian Culture are the foundation of the ʻOri Tahiti.
This is WHY i have created this ressource. It is time for the ʻOri Tahiti Community living outside of Tahiti to learn and practice the Reo Tahiti.

There are no big secrets or magic recipe for you to implement the Reo Tahiti in class. You need to have a plan and practice, practice, practice.
Let me share with you the steps to implement the Reo Tahiti:

It is important to get yourself mentally fit in order to succeed. You need to have a positive mindset and believe that you will be able to speak and understand Tahitian as a dancer
Step#2 EQUIP YOURSELF:
Equip yourself, use the e-book as your main ressource. You will find essential phrases you can use right away in 'Ori Tahiti Class.
Step#3 TAKE ACTION:
It means Scheduling your content, write down the Tahitian phrases you want to learn first and that are relevant to you. Increase your vocabulary. Pratice, practice, practice!

Show up everyday, push yourself. Define a begin and end date. Consistency is the secret ingredient for success.

As a group leader, I enjoyed the review of the E-Book. It is filled with so much information and will definitely enhance my current Reo Tahiti in my classes. At the beginning, i started Reo Tahiti because I just wanted to understand Himene Tahiti more. My name is Moenau Rivera, i am the CEO & Co-founder of POLY-LINGUAL. I was born and raised in Tahiti, i speak 3 languages and currently learning Māori and Samoan languages.
